CSX/Conrail serviced rail lines are located alongside ACF and are accessible through our 4 dedicated railway doors.
Blast Freezing
ACF has one of the largest blast freezers on the East Coast and is capable of Blast Freezing or Quick Freezing up to 300 pallet positions. Products normally Blast Frozen are meats, poultry, seafood, egg products and certain vegetables. ACF's Blast Freezing Room brings foods to a frozen state very quickly down to -25 degrees F.
Barcode Scanning
Regardless of the configuration of the barcodes used by a client, ACF can quickly and accurately develop a protocol for automatically reading and tallying those barcodes, resulting in an accurate and rapid product verification to eliminate mis-shipments.
Code of Practice Sample Pallets (COP)
This uniform random selection of cartons by shipping mark, production date or other requested requirements provides our clients with a true sample for further testing. This sample is made during the unloading processand the two COP pallets are always the last ones selected for loading out and are clearly labeled.
Communication and Scheduling
ACF can track all health certificate data related to inbound containers. Container lot information is compiled and rush handling and other preventive measures are prescribed accordingly. ACF also tracks all inbound containers from pier to warehouse and all outbound truckloads as well. Our OTR appointment system makes turnaround times shorter, therefore reducing costs.
Drop Trailer Program
ACF encourages carriers and customers to keep trailers in our secure yards for convenient pickup. This services helps carriers meet hours of service rules (HOS) enforced by the DOT by making fully loaded pickups available when drivers arrive.
Order Fulfillment
ACF will pick mulitiple items and consolidate them onto a single (or multiple) pallet for efficient deliveries.
